Teaching & Learning

Our Curriculum Philosophy

We want to inspire a love for learning and to ensure that it happens for its own sake, not just as a means to an end. Future educational success is important to us, but so is getting the balance right between intellectual and individual development.

Our curriculum is an ambitious and stimulating combination including languages, science, mathematics, English, the humanities, technology, sport and the creative arts.

First class teaching takes place in some first class facilities. ICT is fully integrated in our teaching spaces, language and science laboratories, and pupils and staff also benefit from a professionally-designed theatre, swimming pool and sports facilities. Exciting new building developments are planned to assist us all in making the most of our educational opportunities.

We aim to give pupils confidence to try new things, tolerance to listen to others' ideas, appreciation of the traditions and wisdom of past ages, eagerness to explore new technologies and commitment to helping others.
