JAGS Music Department has a wide range of ensembles from small chamber music groups to a Symphony Orchestra of around 80 players. The emphasis at JAGS is that every girl should have the opportunity to take part regardless of her experience or age so the ensembles are structured so as to allow progression from non-auditioned activities for beginners to auditioned groups for more experienced performers.

There are currently about 24 different ensembles running in the department and around 20 chamber music groups. Ensembles have many opportunities to perform from informal concerts to major events in venues like St John’s, Smith Square.
