Inspection Report (4 - 7 February 2008)

The all-round excellence of JAGS and JAPS has been recognized in their outstanding ISI inspection report.

The official ISI report, following February's inspection, has now been published. We are all delighted with this report which recognises the enthusiasm, dedication and commitment of our whole school community - pupils, staff, parents and governors. It concludes that: "The three parts of James Allen’s Girls’ School are outstandingly successful in meeting the school’s aim of providing pupils with rich opportunities to develop both academically and personally." The inspectors judged that the quality of our pastoral care is ‘outstanding’ and that the school provides "support and understanding as pupils progress through the school and meet new challenges, and promotes pupils’ confidence and awareness of the needs of others." This report acknowledges the all-round excellence of the school. It also endorses the school’s ability to analyse and address its own future needs, by making no recommendation for next steps other than to continue to implement our whole school development plan.

Do please read the report in full. If you cannot download we will happily post out a hard copy to you.
