Music has been central to educational life for centuries and has now been clearly identified as a valuable aid to the actual process of learning - benefiting reading and language skills, reinforcing mathematical development and building self-esteem.
The James Allen's Community Music Centre will be a resource for the benefit of both the school and the wider community of South London which is not currently well served by suitable facilities or resources. Like music itself, the JACMC will educate, inspire, entertain and unite by bringing music makers and music lovers of all kinds together in a state-of-the-art teaching, learning and performance space.
