JAGS Art Fair 2010 - such quality, such variety of style and a very civilised atmosphere! We hosted 37 locally and nationally celebrated artists for the weekend – a great opportunity for the public to ask questions about their work. There was something for all tastes from textiles to ceramics, photographs, prints, acrylics, watercolours and oils…trains, trees, seascapes and boats. The garden sculptures provoked particular delight; one teddy bear sculpture has a new home in a South London garden!

At the Private View we were happy to welcome so many friends of JAGS, governors, staff and ex-staff, parents and ex-parents, alumnae and friends and associates of the artists – there was a real “buzz” throughout the evening. The artists themselves created a relaxed and most welcoming atmosphere throughout the weekend and it’s gratifying that many of them want to take part every year.  The weekend event was well supported by alumnae, staff, parents and the local community - browsers, shoppers or those just simply curious to see the school and to find out more about our campaign for a new Community Music Centre.
