Lower Ground Floor

The lower ground floor plan includes a recording suite which doubles as a percussion studio, a recital hall which is a flat floor space designed for sectional rehearsals, classroom use, and small performances with an audience of up to 100 and there is full access to the stage level and wings of the concert hall from basement floor level.

                                                                    

 

 

 


 

Ground Floor

The top of the retractable stalls seating, side balconies and choir stalls of the concert hall can be accessed from the ground floor level foyer which will also act as a  large reception area for before and after performances. The ground floor plan also includes teaching areas consisting of a listening room, three music technology rooms and a large music classroom which can be readily accessed for community use, Music Therapy or used as extended hospitality space during performances.

 

 

 

 

   

   

 

First Floor

The first floor plan includes two large music classrooms which are located above the recital hall, a series of medium sized practice rooms providing a range of spaces for peripatetic teaching and small group rehearsals, and the teachers’ common room to accommodate visiting instrument teaching staff.

 

 

 

 

 


 

Second Floor

The second floor plan includes a series of smaller practice rooms for peripatetic teaching and individual rehearsal, three large music practice rooms that can accommodate group rehearsals and administration offices.

 

 

 

 

   

   

 

Plant/Roof

The northern staircase extends to roof level to provide access to a plant room and a green roof which has been incorporated as an energy saving feature.
