James Allen’s Girls’ School (JAGS) was originally formed in 1741 and is registered with the Charity Commission under charity number 312750.

The Governors of the School are the trustees of the charity which is governed by its charitable Scheme dated 31 July 1995 (when the Scheme was last updated). The charity is, at present, unincorporated.
