Having helped a group of Year 4, 5 and 6 pupils at the primary school to create their own school newspaper, teaching them about forward-planning and facing deadlines, JAGS sixth formers are now helping to provide wrap-around care between 4 and 6pm for 3-11 year olds, in a revolutionary family learning initiative. There’s a Performing Arts group for Years 4-6; they teach music to 3-5 year olds (quite a challenge!) and they teach Maths to a selected group of Gifted and Talented children in Years 4-5, and Spanish and Mandarin. It’s exciting to find it’s not only the children who want to come to the clubs, but other members of their families.
