Intergenerational Art
After the very successful launch of the Good Times project in 2008, we are developing our partnership with DPG, involving JAGS girls and local elderly people working together in pairs to create imaginative responses to each week’s challenge. A tour of the gallery, especially of the portraits there, must have inspired some of the work produced by the young and the not-so-young. Beginners and specialist A level artists alike gulped at first at the instructions to draw each other without looking, or with the hand you don’t normally use, or in one continuous line; but the results were so exciting! There was so much to talk about. The professional artist tutor helped everyone to ‘look’ with different eyes.
