Teddy Bears' Picnic 2011
The annual, and much enjoyed, Teddy Bears' Picnic took place on the JAGS playing fields on Thursday 28 July.
| Numbers grow every year as people who have enjoyed themselves bring in greater numbers the following year. Suzy Masson (Haywood) Year of ’91 sat on rugs under the shade of a large tree with five of her former classmates and their children. The Years of ’94 and ’96 now make the Teddy Bears’ Picnic an annual event and get together, whilst the year of ’86 met for the first time at this event and said that they had had a wonderful time!
JAPS parents and JAGS and JAPS current staff also brought their children and grandchildren for a lovely day out.
The weather was good, so the almost lifesize ‘Connect 4’ was brought out of the Sports Hall onto the playing field to join the Middle School playground equipment and craft materials. Large sheets of paper were available with felt tip pens and coloured pencils for the more creative of our guests.
The bouncy castle was a huge success, as was the face painting. We had to employ two face painters for most of the picnic to satisfy demand!
