Annual Alumnae Reunion
9 May 2009

The Alumnae Annual Reunion took place this year on Saturday 9 May here at JAGS.  About 180 came to the lunch which was served in the new dining hall, much to everyone's excitement.  The hall looked lovely - light and airy and the lunch was, as always quite delicious.  Poached salmon, cold meats, quiche, tomatoes with basil and roasted vegetables with cous cous to name just a few of the delicious items on the menu.  This was followed by black forest gateau and strawberries, most decoratively displayed!

8 Year Groups held a Year Group Reunion at the lunch with the Year of '89, spearheaded by Karen Gilbert (nee Elias) fielding a stunning 26 alumnae!

Kathy Audibert (Gowing) spearheaded a reunion for the year of '59 and remarked "how much she loved the new dining hall with the sweeping staircase - just waiting for Cinderella to descend..."

Julie McDonald (Lee), Year of '62  also said that the new hall is spectacular and she and her former classmates were in awe at the facilities the girls can now enjoy.

The Year of '83 leader Lucy Dolbear (Phizacklea) said that everyone had had a great afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious lunch and meeting old friends.

Marilyn Sertin (Wright) again hosted a reunion for the Year of '57 to mark a 'special birthday'.

Christine Elander (Williams), Jill Trebilcock (Bolsover) and Linda Endicott (Johnson) also spearheaded reunions for their Years of '52, ''75 and ''77.
